DECISIONS OF 10^TH BOG MEETING OF NTC

10^th BOG Meeting of National Technology Council (NTC) was held on 15th March 2023 at 10:00 AM in Lecture Hall of HEC HQ H9 Islamabad. The Meeting was presided by Mr. Imtiaz H. Gilani, Chairman NTC. The Meeting started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. After a round of introductions, Mr. Imtiaz H. Gilani, Chairman NTC, welcomed the Council Members. He highlighted the challenges faced by engineering technology education and graduates in Pakistan. He emphasized on importance of curriculum in technology education and informed the members that NTC have developed 15 curriculums and 5more are in process.

After that the Chairman NTC requested acting Secretary to start the proceedings and Agenda of the Meeting. Mr. Muhammad Fahd Amin, Acting Secretary, presented each agenda Item and necessary approvals were taken as follows:-

• Progress on Accreditation of Programs, Registration of Technologists and NCRC Meetings.
• Removal of Cut-off date for registration of technology graduates of intake batches 2017 and before.
• Admission of F.Sc Pre-medical students in all engineering technology programs with additional math course at undergraduate level.
• Addition of Food Engineering Technology in the scope of NTC.
• Registration of graduates of BZU Multan permitting through DECs.
• Start Accreditation of Life Sciences Technologies Programs.
• Program Accreditation policy and procedures Manual Revision.
